About Visacub

Visacub is a U.S. immigration platform with guides across U.S. visa categories — family green cards, EB-1A, EB-2 NIW, O-1, H-1B, L-1, EB-5, and more. The live self-file product is the Family Self-File Kit for I-130 family green cards at $99 per petition — auto-drafted cover letter, bona fide marriage evidence builder, and USCIS form generation. Operated by Anureka Inc.; software, not a law firm.

What is a marriage-based or family-based green card (I-130 + I-485)?

A family-based green card is U.S. permanent residence obtained through a qualifying family relationship to a U.S. citizen or lawful permanent resident (LPR). The process is a two-step USCIS filing: Form I-130 (Petition for Alien Relative) establishes the qualifying relationship — spouse, parent, child, or sibling — and Form I-485 (Adjustment of Status, if the beneficiary is inside the U.S.) or consular processing (DS-260 abroad) issues the green card. Spouses of U.S. citizens, parents of adult U.S. citizens, and unmarried minor children of U.S. citizens are immediate relatives with no visa-number wait. All other family categories (F1, F2A/B, F3, F4) are subject to annual visa-number caps and country-specific waiting periods.

Can I file my I-130 marriage petition without a lawyer?

Yes. I-130 is legally a self-file form — petitioners and beneficiaries successfully file pro se every day. The hardest part is not procedure but evidence: building the bona fide marriage record (joint financial accounts, joint residence, joint life, testimonial affidavits) and avoiding common RFE triggers (sparse joint accounts, recent marriage timing, age gaps, prior immigration filings). Visacub's $99 Self-File Kit auto-drafts the I-130 cover letter, organizes your evidence portfolio under the four bona fide buckets USCIS publishes, generates the I-130 and I-485 forms, and indexes exhibits. Covers the document-preparation work attorneys typically charge $2,000–$5,000+ to assemble by hand. Visacub is self-help software — you prepare and file the petition yourself using its tools.

What evidence proves a bona fide marriage to USCIS?

USCIS expects a documentary paper trail showing the marriage is genuine and not entered for immigration purposes. Core evidence falls in four buckets. (1) Joint financial: joint bank/credit-card statements (named on the same account), jointly filed tax returns, life-insurance beneficiary designations, jointly titled assets. (2) Joint residence: lease or mortgage with both names, utility bills, mail addressed to both at the same address, driver's-license/state-ID addresses matching. (3) Joint life: chronologically diverse photos with friends and family, travel records, shared phone plan, shared streaming/subscription accounts, social-media history showing the relationship over time. (4) Testimonial: affidavits (Form I-130 doesn't require these but they help) from friends, family, employers, clergy attesting they know the couple. Visacub's evidence builder organizes uploads into these four buckets automatically and flags gaps that commonly trigger RFEs.

What's the timeline for a family-based green card?

For an immediate-relative spouse of a U.S. citizen filing inside the U.S. (concurrent I-130 + I-485), expect 12–24 months from filing to green-card approval, depending on the USCIS field office. EAD (work authorization) and AP (advance parole travel document) are typically available 5–7 months after filing. Spouses of LPRs (F2A) currently have a short wait (often current). Parents/children of U.S. citizens have no numerical cap. Siblings of U.S. citizens (F4) have multi-year to decade-plus waits, especially from Mexico, Philippines, and India. Consular processing from abroad is typically faster than inside-the-U.S. adjustment, but separates spouses for several months.

What is the EB-2 NIW (National Interest Waiver)?

EB-2 NIW is a U.S. employment-based green card category that lets qualified individuals self-petition — without an employer sponsor or PERM labor certification. Eligibility is governed by Matter of Dhanasar (AAO 2016), which sets a 3-prong test: (1) the proposed endeavor has substantial merit and national importance, (2) the applicant is well-positioned to advance it, and (3) on balance it would benefit the U.S. to waive the job-offer requirement. Visacub's NIW Self-Petition tier is on the immediate roadmap — the free Dhanasar 3-prong eligibility checker is already live. See /niw for the current Dhanasar walkthrough.

Can I file NIW without a lawyer?

Yes. NIW is legally a self-petition category — you do not need attorney representation, and many petitioners successfully file pro se. Visacub's NIW Self-Petition tier (Ongoing) will deliver an auto-drafted petition letter structured to follow the Dhanasar 3-prong format you select, a per-prong evidence organizer, recommendation-letter templates, and I-140 form generation — covering the document-preparation work attorneys typically charge $5,000+ to assemble by hand. The free Dhanasar eligibility check is already live.

What is Visacub?

Visacub is a U.S. immigration platform with step-by-step guides across U.S. visa categories — EB-1A, EB-2 NIW, O-1, H-1B, L-1, EB-5, EB-3, TN, family green cards, K-1, F-1, J-1, asylum, and more — each with a process diagram, eligibility checklist, document list, and timeline. The live self-file product is the Family Self-File Kit for I-130 family green cards ($99 per petition): auto-drafted cover letter, bona fide marriage evidence builder, affidavit and support-letter templates, document upload with exhibit indexing, and case tracking. A paid EB-2 NIW Self-Petition tier ($299) is on the roadmap; the free Dhanasar eligibility checker is already live.

Is Visacub a law firm?

No. Visacub is a software platform operated by Anureka Inc., not a law firm. We provide tools for immigration eligibility assessment and document preparation — but we do not provide legal advice or represent clients before USCIS. Family-based I-130 and EB-2 NIW are both legally self-petition / self-file categories, so petitioners can file directly without legal representation. If you want a licensed immigration attorney to review your auto-generated package before submission, you can hire one independently — Visacub does not bundle attorney services.

How much does Visacub cost?

Two tiers. Free tier ($0): Eligibility check for both Family-based and EB-2 NIW paths, required-document checklist, cost-and-timeline estimate, no signup required for the first analysis. Self-File Kit ($99 per petition): auto-drafted I-130 cover letter and forms, bona fide marriage evidence builder, affidavit and supporting letter templates, document upload with exhibit indexing, case tracking dashboard. Compare to typical marriage-GC attorney representation of $2,000–$5,000+. USCIS filing fees ($675 I-130, $1,440 I-485 adult adjustment, $1,150 NVC consular fees) are separate from Visacub's platform fee. EB-2 NIW Self-Petition tier ($299) is on the immediate roadmap.

Is attorney review included?

No. Visacub is a self-file platform — the $99 Family Self-File Kit fee covers the auto-drafted letter, evidence builder, and form generation, but no attorney review is included. If you want attorney representation, you can hire any licensed U.S. immigration attorney separately to review your petition before USCIS submission. I-130 and EB-2 NIW are both legally self-file / self-petition categories, and many petitioners file successfully without attorney representation.
